Mosaic interpretation of a photo ‘Terraced rice field sin Sapa, Lao Cai, Vietnam’ by an unknown photographer
Inspired by the natural harmony of forms and colours this mosaic tries to recreate the same effect in different medium through a devoted research of similar marbles and smalti. The technique used is similar to stained glass where entire pieces are held together by strips of lead, in this case replaced by tiny tessarae lines. The mosaic develops on different levels, which like waves go up and down contributing to intense flow of colours.
