Poetry in mosaic
The title are the lines taken from a poem by a russian symbolism poet Alexander Blok and are the key to its interpretation: life is seen as an animated flow in search of the light. Spyglass similar paper tubes reflect light on their tops and create a vivid shadows play. The numerous shades of grey are facets of light and dark which are like a fight between good and bad. This work is an example of a so called ‘metamosaic’, where mosaic is seen as an ensemble of repeated elements and free spaces between them in order to create a rhythm.
