Triangles is a prototype of handcrafted original Venetian marble terrazzo flooring. These samples are inspired by antique mosaic and the original view of Carlo Scarpa. In fact, his idea to confer tesserae the key role in rhythmic floor patterns is on the basis of the project. The prototypes are developed to give the idea of tailored handwork that can be made on site. Mosaic and terrazzo are made from the “leaflets” of marble work: tesserae and tiny pieces of terrazzo don’t need large slabs. This technical approach makes it eco-friendly in terms of zero waste and recycling. In addition, it’s eternally durable in time.
